We are representing a confidential client in the education technology space who is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) to join their team in Brazil. Our client is part of a global portfolio that has empowered thousands of businesses and reached millions of users worldwide. This position operates in a remote-first environment with opportunities for in-person collaboration throughout the year. The contract is offered as CLT, paid in BRL.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain user-facing features that enhance product experiences
- Improve front-end architecture and optimize application performance for speed and reliability
- Analyze existing interfaces, components, and user flows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to design and implement new features
- Optimize code review processes and implement front-end development best practices
- Work across multiple services within a complex platform environment
- Contribute to both new feature development and improvements to legacy codebases
- Participate in technical design discussions and implementation planning with team members of varying experience levels
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting production web applications
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Solid knowledge of and experience with React
- Proven experience writing software used in production environments
- Experience working on platforms with multiple services
- Team player mentality with strong collaboration skills and documentation focus
- Ability to balance asynchronous communications and virtual meetings effectively
- Passion for solving complex technical problems in both new and legacy codebases
- Mindset of continuous improvement and leaving code better than you found it
- Ability to work and problem-solve independently
- Humble, collaborative, customer-focused, and highly curious approach to problem-solving
Preferred qualifications:
- Proficiency in using Golang and Ruby in production environments
- Experience on engineering enablement or platform teams
- Experience contributing to engineering-wide initiatives
