Senior Machine Learning Engineer, AI Platform

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential AdTech organization seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their AI Platform team in Berlin. This role focuses on developing ML-based solutions that help marketers optimize their advertising campaigns across multiple media formats including images, video, audio, text, and structured performance data.

You'll take ownership of high-impact projects, working at the intersection of machine learning and marketing technology to build systems that directly influence how advertisers create and manage their campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy ML-based software systems that enable users to create effective advertising experiences and campaigns
• Work with diverse datasets spanning image, video, audio, text, and structured performance data
• Contribute to and strengthen the MLOps and data platform infrastructure alongside senior machine learning engineers, data scientists, and software engineers
• Productionize AI/ML applications with a focus on robustness and efficiency
• Participate actively in work planning, retrospectives, and team improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and infrastructure stakeholders to translate business needs into viable technical solutions
• Conduct knowledge shares, run productive meetings, and engage in pair programming to develop both technical and soft skills
• Stay current with ML innovations in generative AI, computer vision, natural language processing, and explainability

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying production-quality software
• 2+ years of experience delivering software services powered by machine learning
• 2+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP
• Fluency in Python; experience with C++ or Java is a plus
• Hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Knowledge of MLOps concepts and tools such as MLflow or Kubeflow
• Experience in feature engineering, model evaluation, diagnostics, and monitoring
• Strong foundation in linear algebra, statistics, and calculus
• Experience building scalable data pipelines for ML-based data processing
• Experience developing and maintaining services under SLA
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Passion for solving customer challenges while making thoughtful architectural decisions
• Adaptability and resilience when facing new or ambiguous challenges
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• M.Sc. in a relevant field is preferred
• Ability and willingness to work in a hybrid capacity from the Berlin office 3 days per week
