About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential agtech client seeking an exceptional Sales Engineer to partner with enterprise farming operations across Australia and New Zealand. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise with commercial acumen, serving as a trusted advisor to some of agriculture's most progressive organizations.
In this role, you'll work alongside enterprise sales and account management teams throughout complex sales cycles, providing technical leadership from initial engagement through implementation planning. You'll design solutions for large-scale deployments, solve operational challenges, and serve as the voice of enterprise customers to inform product evolution.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise discovery sessions to understand farming systems, operational models, and strategic priorities, then design technical solutions that meet complex requirements across multi-farm portfolios
- Provide technical leadership in enterprise engagements including product demonstrations, solution workshops, technical discovery, and implementation planning
- Answer detailed questions around grazing systems, hardware, connectivity, integrations, data reporting, and large-scale deployment strategies
- Collaborate with customers to develop practical solutions for complex operational challenges, working with stakeholders from farm managers to executives and boards
- Bridge enterprise customer needs with Product and Engineering teams, identifying emerging requirements, product opportunities, and market trends
- Coordinate across Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to ensure seamless technical alignment throughout the customer journey
- Establish best practices for enterprise solution engineering, contributing to technical playbooks, customer tools, and implementation frameworks
- Travel regularly across New Zealand and Australia to engage directly with customers
What We're Looking For
- Experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, implementation consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles
- Understanding of commercial farming systems, ideally dairy or livestock production (preferred but not required)
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both operational and executive audiences
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with confidence facilitating workshops and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong systems thinking and curiosity about how complex businesses operate and identifying improvements
- High ownership and accountability; comfortable with ambiguity and taking responsibility for outcomes
- Collaborative mindset with passion for working across Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams
- Willingness to travel frequently across Australia and New Zealand
