Director, Business Development – Financial Services

We are representing a confidential global organization in the language services sector, seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to join their London team. This role offers the opportunity to work with international brands helping them navigate global markets through innovative communication solutions.

Responsibilities

• Source and close new clients within the Financial Services sector through referrals, cold calling, networking, trade shows, and regional organizations
• Build and manage a productive sales pipeline through each phase of the sales process
• Cultivate long-term client relationships by delivering exceptional service and demonstrating deep industry knowledge
• Formulate and execute sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
• Generate daily outreach efforts including direct mail, digital marketing, and prospecting calls
• Present solutions via one-on-one meetings, group sessions, and online presentations
• Set and manage client expectations while consulting on best practices
• Manage pricing, contractual negotiations, and commercial terms
• Travel domestically and internationally for conferences and client meetings

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 3 years proven success in a similar sales role
• Established knowledge and network within the Financial Services sector
• Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
• Ability to articulate value propositions and competitive advantages clearly
• Strong relationship-building capabilities with clients and colleagues
• Service-focused mindset with commitment to exceeding client expectations
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
• Financially responsible with sound commercial judgment
• Collaborative team player comfortable working across diverse backgrounds and cultures
