Financial Assistant (Werkstudent:in oder Praktikant:in)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech client in Berlin seeking a motivated Financial Assistant to join their finance team. Working closely with senior finance leadership and external tax advisors, you will support critical financial operations and process improvements.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Managing accounts payable and receivable processes, including digital invoice processing and verification
• Supporting payment operations and monitoring outstanding receivables
• Processing employee expense reimbursements and document management
• Assisting with month-end closing preparation and reconciliation tasks
• Contributing to finance process optimization and digitalization initiatives
• Supporting implementation of new software tools and AI-assisted workflows in daily finance operations
• Opportunity to assist with cost controlling projects and management presentations based on interest and capacity

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Finance & Accounting, or a comparable field
• Previous practical experience through internships or working student positions in finance or accounting
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and MS Office 365, particularly Excel
• Experience with DATEV accounting software is required
• Strong numerical aptitude, structured working approach, and high reliability
• Fluent German language skills (written and spoken); English proficiency is advantageous
• Available for either a working student position (Werkstudent) or internship (Praktikum)
