Construction Superintendent II

Gilbane, Inc. is hiring a Construction Superintendent II in Grandview Heights, Franklin County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead field operations and manage trade contractors on dynamic construction projects.

The Opportunity

As a Construction Superintendent II, you'll take a hands-on leadership role overseeing daily project activities and ensuring all work meets our rigorous standards. This position operates with defined autonomy, allowing you to make field decisions that keep projects moving forward safely and on schedule. You'll work directly with contractors, project teams, and clients to deliver the quality craftsmanship Gilbane is known for.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise assigned trade contractors and their field workforces
• Verify all construction activities comply with approved plans, scope of work, and specifications
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment for all personnel
• Monitor schedule progress and work with teams to meet project milestones and timelines
• Perform quality inspections and coordinate corrective actions as needed
• Maintain comprehensive project records, daily reports, and contractor documentation
• Serve as primary point of contact between field operations and project management

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in construction field supervision or project management
• Strong working knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contractors and coordinate complex trade activities
• Solid understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and quality standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; construction management degree preferred
• Comfort working on active construction sites in varying conditions
