About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer at Dearing Compressor, you'll design, develop, and optimize electrical systems and controls for our compressor and pump equipment. Working alongside a skilled engineering team, you'll translate project requirements into functional electrical designs that meet industry standards and customer specifications. Your work will directly impact product performance, reliability, and market competitiveness. You'll balance hands-on technical work with cross-functional collaboration, supporting both new product development and continuous improvement of existing lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, control systems, and power distribution layouts for compressor and pump products
• Conduct electrical load analysis, sizing, and selection of components including motors, drives, contactors, and protective devices
• Perform circuit analysis and troubleshooting to ensure designs meet safety codes and performance requirements
• Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical solutions into product assemblies
• Document designs with clear technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing and field deployment
• Support prototype testing, validation, and commissioning of electrical systems
• Stay current with industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies relevant to compressor engineering

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, circuits, and industrial control systems
• Proficiency with electrical CAD software and schematic design tools
• Solid understanding of electrical safety codes and industrial standards (NEC, NEMA)
• Experience with motor controls, variable frequency drives, or industrial automation is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
