What This Role Involves

As Senior Director of Business Applications at Western Digital, you own the vision and execution of enterprise application strategy across the organization. You'll direct high-performing teams that design, deploy, and optimize business systems powering global operations—from supply chain and finance to manufacturing and customer engagement. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Define and communicate application roadmaps that align business priorities with technology capabilities
• Lead teams of architects, engineers, and operations professionals through complex system implementations and modernization initiatives
• Partner with executive leadership and business units to translate strategic priorities into actionable technology programs
• Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and technology partnerships for enterprise platforms and infrastructure
• Oversee budget allocation, resource planning, and delivery schedules for application portfolios
• Drive continuous improvement in system reliability, security, and user adoption across the enterprise

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressively senior experience in business applications, ERP systems, or enterprise technology leadership
• Proven success building, scaling, and mentoring high-performing technology teams
• Deep expertise in modern application architecture, cloud platforms, and enterprise system integration
• Strong business acumen—ability to translate technology decisions into measurable financial and operational outcomes
• Experience leading enterprise software implementations (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or comparable platforms)
• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
