What This Role Involves

As Director of Social Content and Community, you'll lead a high-performing team responsible for building and maintaining UCLA Health's voice and presence on social media. You'll develop comprehensive strategies that align with organizational goals, oversee the creation of compelling content, and foster meaningful engagement with our community across all digital channels.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute social media strategy across platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging and organizational alignment
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of social media professionals and content creators
• Oversee content planning, creation, and distribution across all major social platforms
• Monitor analytics, engagement metrics, and audience insights to optimize strategy and performance
• Build and nurture community relationships through responsive engagement and meaningful dialogue
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, clinical, and administrative teams to amplify organizational priorities
• Stay current with social media trends, platform changes, and best practices in healthcare communications
• Manage social media budgets, resources, and tools effectively

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related communications field
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a digital or marketing environment
• Demonstrated expertise developing and executing social media strategy across multiple platforms
• Strong understanding of social media analytics, audience insights, and performance measurement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to craft compelling narratives
• Proficiency with social media management tools and analytics platforms
• Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization communications preferred
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
