The Opportunity

As an Information Desk Technician at Exelon, you're the essential first contact for technical questions and support needs. Based in Bethesda, you'll work full-time in a dynamic environment where your troubleshooting skills, customer service mindset, and technical knowledge make a measurable difference. This position combines hands-on technical problem-solving with excellent customer service to keep employees productive and systems running.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person assistance
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues including computers, printers, network connectivity, and mobile devices
• Manage user accounts—resetting passwords, enabling access, and processing credential requests
• Install software applications, apply system updates, and configure network settings
• Create and maintain detailed support tickets documenting all issues and solutions
• Welcome and assist visitors with check-in procedures and facility orientation
• Route complex technical problems to advanced IT staff or specialists
• Maintain professionalism and patience while supporting users of varying technical skill levels

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED; IT certification or relevant technical training is a plus
• Hands-on experience with Windows and/or macOS operating systems
• Background in IT help desk, technical support, or field support roles
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize effectively
• Friendly, patient approach to helping non-technical users
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and networking fundamentals preferred
