Principal Clerkship Coordinator – Neurology

UCLA Health is hiring a full-time Principal Clerkship Coordinator – Neurology in Pico Heights, Los Angeles County, to lead the administrative backbone of the Neurology clerkship at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

About the Role

Working hand in hand with the clerkship chair, the Principal Clerkship Coordinator oversees the day-to-day administration of the Neurology clerkship across every affiliated teaching site. This required rotation is a cornerstone of the second-year experience for medical students, and you will be the central point of coordination that keeps it running smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the administrative operations of the Neurology clerkship across all affiliate locations
• Partner closely with the clerkship chair to plan, deliver, and continuously refine the rotation
• Support the educational journey of second-year David Geffen School of Medicine students throughout this required experience
• Maintain accurate records, schedules, and communications that keep the clerkship organized and consistent across sites
• Serve as a reliable liaison between students, faculty, and affiliate teaching programs

Qualifications

• Strong administrative and program-coordination experience, ideally within an academic, medical, or higher-education environment
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities at once
• Clear, professional communication with students, faculty, and clinical partners
• Comfort working collaboratively with a clerkship chair and other leadership
• Attention to detail and a commitment to supporting medical education
