What This Role Involves

As Property Manager II at Vintage Gardens, you'll lead all operational aspects of this thriving community, from financial stewardship and strategic planning to tenant engagement and regulatory compliance. You'll report to senior management, supervise a team, and drive initiatives that keep residents satisfied while achieving organizational performance goals and maintaining the highest standards of affordable housing excellence.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage leasing operations, tenant relations, and occupancy strategies to maintain strong community performance
  • Oversee maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects across the 111-unit property
  • Develop, monitor, and report on community budgets; manage revenue collection and expenses
  • Execute marketing and resident communication initiatives to support occupancy and community engagement
  • Ensure compliance with HUD regulations, Fair Housing requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local housing codes
  • Supervise and develop maintenance and administrative team members through performance management and training
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and capital planning to maintain property standards

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing or multifamily residential communities
  • Strong understanding of HUD programs, affordable housing regulations, and compliance frameworks
  • Proven financial management skills with proficiency in budgeting, P&L analysis, and property management systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for resident and stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to supervise and inspire team members
  • Problem-solving orientation and resourcefulness in a mission-driven community environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business administration, property management, or related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
