About the Role
As a Diesel Mechanic with R+L Carriers, you'll provide hands-on expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered commercial vehicles and equipment at our Montebello location. This full-time position offers regular Monday-Friday schedules with various shift options, allowing you to find work hours that fit your lifestyle while contributing to our transportation operations.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and heavy-duty truck systems
- Diagnose mechanical problems using specialized diagnostic tools and testing equipment
- Repair and replace engine components, transmissions, brake systems, and electrical systems
- Document service records and maintain accurate maintenance logs for fleet vehicles
- Ensure all mechanical work meets safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements
- Collaborate with technicians and fleet managers to prioritize repair schedules
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty equipment maintenance technician
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, transmissions, and commercial brake systems
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Attention to detail and strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
