Product Designer

Role Overview

The Digital Product Design team at Ford is imagining and building intuitive, engaging digital products that enhance how people interact with vehicles and mobility services. As a Product Designer, you'll translate customer needs and research into thoughtful, purposeful user experiences that set the standard for automotive innovation. Working in-person in Dearborn, you'll be part of a culture that values bold thinking, user-centered design, and the drive to move the industry forward.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, discovery sessions, and usability testing to understand customer pain points and uncover opportunities
• Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for digital products and connected services
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and stakeholders to refine concepts and iterate on solutions
• Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency across Ford digital products
• Present design recommendations and gather cross-functional feedback throughout the design process
• Contribute to Ford's evolving digital product strategy and brand experience standards

Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in product design, UX/UI design, or related discipline
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent platforms
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and problem-solving
• Working knowledge of design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design principles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical teams
• Experience with automotive, mobile applications, or consumer technology preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
