About the Role

As a Cook at El Pollo Loco, you'll join a fast-paced, energetic kitchen team. This part-time position focuses on preparing our signature grilled chicken and supporting dishes to deliver the authentic flavors our customers love.

What You'll Do

• Operate and maintain grilling equipment to prepare fire-grilled chicken to our quality standards
• Follow recipe specifications and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and food safety
• Manage cooking stations during assigned shifts
• Coordinate with kitchen team members to meet order times and customer expectations
• Maintain a clean, organized cooking station and comply with health and safety guidelines
• Assist with food preparation and plating as needed

What We're Looking For

• Prior cooking or kitchen experience preferred
• Ability to work in a high-volume restaurant environment
• Knowledge of food safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Reliable, team-oriented work ethic
• Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen leadership
