About the Role
We are looking for a mid-level attorney to join our Portland team and contribute to high-quality legal work across professional responsibility and litigation matters. You'll work alongside experienced practitioners who value thorough research, strong client relationships, and effective advocacy.
What You'll Do
- Support attorneys in the Professional Responsibility Group on matters related to legal ethics, disciplinary issues, and professional conduct
- Assist with litigation matters in both civil and criminal practice areas
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and briefs
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Participate in discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as directed
What We're Looking For
- Minimum three years of active litigation experience in civil law, criminal law, or both
- Current license to practice law in the State of Oregon
- Excellent legal writing skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly
- Strong academic background and demonstrated commitment to legal excellence
- Organized approach to managing multiple matters and deadlines
- Collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute to team success
