Study Project Manager II – Hybrid

AbbVie is seeking a Study Project Manager II for our South San Francisco office to manage and oversee critical research and development initiatives. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on drug development and patient care in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

About the Role

As a Study Project Manager II, you'll take ownership of complex research projects, ensuring seamless execution from initiation through completion. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating cross-functional teams, maintaining project timelines, and upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance. This is a mid-level management position requiring strong organizational skills and scientific acumen.

What You'll Do

• Manage end-to-end project timelines, budgets, and resources across multiple studies or initiatives
• Coordinate communication between internal teams, external research sites, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress
• Develop and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Track key performance indicators and milestones, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Prepare status reports and presentations for senior leadership and project sponsors
• Support the preparation and execution of project meetings, training sessions, and site visits
• Maintain detailed project records and ensure data integrity throughout the project lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, project management, or related field
• 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in clinical research, pharmaceutical development, or a regulated environment
• Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives
• Knowledge of GCP (Good Clinical Practice), regulatory guidelines, or clinical trial operations is a plus
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
