Claims Team Lead – Workers Compensation

Sedgwick is seeking an experienced Claims Team Lead - Workers Compensation to join our Tallahassee, Leon County office and lead a dedicated team managing workers' compensation claims. About the Role

As a Claims Team Lead specializing in workers' compensation, you'll manage daily operations of a claims team, ensuring consistent quality, accuracy, and compliance across all case files. You'll mentor and develop team members while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and claims resolution. This position requires both technical expertise in workers' compensation claims and strong leadership capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Direct and supervise a team of claims professionals in processing, investigating, and managing workers' compensation claims
• Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
• Review and approve claims decisions, documentation, and communications to maintain quality and accuracy
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to develop team members' skills and careers
• Handle complex or escalated claims that require senior-level decision-making and problem-solving
• Monitor team productivity, metrics, and workload distribution to optimize efficiency
• Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and claimants to resolve issues and improve outcomes
