About the Role

As a Claims Examiner at Sedgwick, you'll play a vital role in managing liability and auto claims from investigation through resolution. This position requires careful analysis of claim documentation, direct communication with claimants and service providers, and sound judgment in determining coverage decisions. You'll work across commercial general liability, auto liability, and both litigated and non-litigated claims, building expertise in multi-state claim management.

What You'll Do

• Investigate liability and auto claims by reviewing policy documents, loss information, and supporting materials
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and medical providers to gather essential claim details
• Analyze coverage determinations and liability exposure for commercial and personal auto claims
• Process claim settlements and coordinate payments with claimants and vendors
• Maintain detailed, organized claim files and documentation for audit and litigation purposes
• Manage both litigated and non-litigated claims with attention to regulatory compliance
• Communicate professionally with all parties, ensuring clear resolution timelines

What We're Looking For

• Valid home state insurance license or ability to obtain one (all US jurisdictions welcome)
• Proven experience examining liability or auto claims
• Strong organizational and investigative skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously and meet processing deadlines
• Working knowledge of insurance policy language and coverage analysis
• Professional approach to sensitive situations and stakeholder interactions
