Sedgwick is seeking a full-time Claims Examiner for Workers Compensation to join our remote team, serving claimants and employers across Southeast jurisdictions from your location in the Tarrytown, Travis County area. In this role, you'll investigate and manage workers' compensation claims with care and precision, helping injured workers navigate the claims process while protecting employer interests.

About the Role

As a Claims Examiner for Workers Compensation, you'll be the trusted professional reviewing complex claims, gathering evidence, and making determinations that directly impact the lives of injured workers and their families. Working fully remote, you'll manage a portfolio of cases across assigned Southeast jurisdictions, ensuring every claim receives thorough, compliant evaluation.

What You'll Do

• Investigate workers' compensation claims by reviewing medical records, wage statements, employer reports, and other documentation
• Conduct interviews with claimants, employers, healthcare providers, and other parties to gather claim-relevant information
• Analyze claim details to determine eligibility, benefit entitlements, and compensation amounts in accordance with state workers' compensation laws
• Identify and investigate indicators of claim fraud or misrepresentation
• Maintain accurate, detailed case files and documentation within claims management systems
• Communicate claim decisions and status updates clearly to claimants, employers, and legal representatives
• Ensure all claim handling complies with state regulations and company standards
• Manage claim timelines and deadlines to maintain consistent workflow

What We're Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and claims procedures (or willingness to develop expertise)
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Proficiency with claims management systems and standard business software
• Professional judgment and integrity when handling sensitive claimant information
