Principal Project Controls Lead

Oracle is hiring a Principal Project Controls Lead to lead project management and controls initiatives for our Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data Center Delivery Organization in Five Points, Wake County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to drive mission-critical delivery operations for OCI's Abilene AI Data Center expansion.

About the Role

As Principal Project Controls Lead, you'll oversee end-to-end project controls, managing schedule performance, cost accountability, risk mitigation, and procurement readiness. You'll ensure logistics visibility and maintain delivery performance metrics that keep our data center expansion on track. This leadership role requires active collaboration across cross-functional teams to align on timelines, budget, and operational milestones.

What You'll Do

• Manage project schedules, timelines, and critical path analysis to maintain on-time delivery
• Own project budgets, monitor spend, and drive cost control across all deliverables
• Identify, assess, and develop mitigation strategies for project risks and dependencies
• Oversee procurement readiness and coordinate vendor performance against project needs
• Maintain logistics visibility and coordinate supply chain execution for data center build-out
• Track and report on delivery performance against KPIs and stakeholder requirements
• Facilitate communication across project teams, leadership, and external partners
• Ensure compliance with Oracle standards and project governance frameworks

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience leading project controls in large-scale infrastructure, data center, or capital projects
• Proven expertise in schedule management, earned value analysis, and cost tracking systems
• Strong background in risk assessment and procurement coordination
• Advanced proficiency with project management software and data analytics tools
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification a plus
