About the Role
Jobot seeks a Capital Markets Associate Attorney with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our full-time legal team in New York City. This position offers a salary range of $215,000 to $435,000 annually, based on qualifications and background. You will contribute to sophisticated capital markets transactions and regulatory counsel, working alongside experienced partners in a collaborative environment committed to delivering nuanced legal solutions across industries.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review securities offering materials, including prospectuses and offering memoranda
- Conduct due diligence and legal analysis on capital markets transactions
- Advise corporate clients on compliance with federal securities law and SEC regulations
- Support equity and debt financing transactions and related corporate restructurings
- Liaise with underwriters, investment banks, and financing counterparties
- Perform legal research on current regulatory developments and market trends
- Engage directly with clients to refine transaction strategy and address legal concerns
What We're Looking For
- Three to six years of substantive capital markets or securities law experience
- Proficiency with federal securities law, regulatory frameworks, and SEC requirements
- Proven experience preparing offering documents and transactional agreements
- Strong analytical, writing, and oral communication abilities
- Self-directed work style with the ability to manage concurrent matters
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar membership in New York or eligibility to seek admission
- Commitment to building deep expertise in capital markets practice
