About the Role
As an Advanced Support Engineer, you'll be the trusted technical resource for Fortinet Federal's government customer base. You'll work directly with federal agencies and contractors deploying Fortinet security solutions to protect mission-critical networks and infrastructure. In this fast-paced role, you'll expand your knowledge of enterprise network security technologies while building strong customer partnerships and establishing yourself as a subject matter expert.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support for Fortinet security products deployed in federal environments
- Diagnose and resolve complex network security issues for government customers
- Document support interactions and maintain detailed records for quality and compliance purposes
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to escalate and resolve customer challenges
- Guide customers on product configuration, security best practices, and optimization
- Monitor industry threats and product updates to stay current with network security developments
What We're Looking For
- Strong foundational knowledge of network security concepts, protocols, and technologies
- Experience supporting enterprise security solutions or advanced networking platforms
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Clear communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence
- Professional approach suitable for federal customer engagement
- Security clearance eligibility or active clearance preferred
