Join BJC HealthCare as a Breast Ultrasound Sonographer (RDMS) at our Manchester location, serving patients at the Barnes Center for Advanced Medicine Breast Center. We're seeking a skilled, compassionate sonography professional to provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging and help us advance breast health care in the St. Louis region.
About the Role
This is a full-time day shift position (Monday through Friday) with consistent scheduling and no mandatory holiday coverage—just the possibility of occasional Saturday shifts with premium compensation. You'll work in a dedicated breast imaging environment, collaborating with radiologists and physicians to deliver accurate, patient-focused care.
What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive breast ultrasound examinations using current diagnostic imaging protocols
- Obtain high-quality sonographic images and document findings according to clinical standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing their concerns
- Maintain detailed patient records and imaging documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists to ensure diagnostic accuracy and appropriate patient follow-up
- Support quality assurance standards and contribute to continuous improvement in breast imaging services
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and related imaging technology
What We're Looking For
- Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) credential or equivalent certification
- Proven experience in breast sonography and breast ultrasound imaging
- Mammography experience and X-ray certification or experience (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team
- Professional demeanor and adaptability in a clinical healthcare setting
