Working Student Battery Testing (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential aerospace technology client developing next-generation electric propulsion systems. We're seeking a Working Student to join their Battery Testing team, where you'll play a hands-on role validating advanced battery systems from cell level through full integration. This is a rare opportunity to contribute directly to certification-ready hardware in a cutting-edge engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute defined test campaigns covering performance, environmental, and safety validation across battery subsystems
• Build, maintain, and improve mechanical and electrical test fixtures, sensor arrays, and wiring harnesses
• Post-process test data, create visualizations, and develop small automation scripts to streamline workflows
• Contribute to test documentation and coordinate with internal teams and external testing laboratories
• Take ownership of hands-on lab setup work with guidance from senior engineers
• Tackle ad-hoc technical challenges with a practical, solutions-focused approach

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Basic understanding of Lithium-ion battery technology (from coursework or lab experience)
• Strong hands-on mindset with comfort in lab environments, instrumentation, and building physical test setups
• Basic programming experience in Python or MATLAB; willingness to learn automotive-grade analysis tools and data pipelines
• Reliable, structured working style with proactive curiosity
• Fluent English required; German language skills are a strong plus
• Strong interest in battery testing and validation methodologies
