About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential biotech organization opening a new London laboratory in 2026. Our client is building AI-driven infrastructure for automated biological experimentation, working with leading biopharma companies, frontier AI labs, and innovative biotech firms.
As one of the first UK hires, you will work closely with senior leadership to establish and scale operations in London. You will own customer-facing operations, strategic partnerships, community building, and the foundational processes that support rapid growth in the UK life-science ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Own UK customer operations from onboarding through experiment delivery, coordinating with scientific and commercial teams
- Manage strategic programmes and partnerships, including milestones, reporting, partner reviews, and deliverables
- Build community presence through competitions, hackathons, meetups, workshops, and conference activities
- Drive UK marketing and communications, coordinating announcements, event content, case studies, and customer stories
- Create and refine operating systems, processes, and workflows to improve collaboration between customers, partners, and internal teams
- Take ownership of evolving priorities as the London operation grows
What We're Looking For
- Life-sciences background with a degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related field strongly preferred
- Track record of running complex projects through operations, programme management, partnerships, startups, accelerators, or scientific organizations
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple customers, partners, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Clear communicator capable of writing concise updates, running effective meetings, and representing the organization at events
- High ownership mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and driving work to completion
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and work quality
- Based in London or ready to relocate; this is an on-site role
