Aya Healthcare is hiring a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) in Anchorage, AK, with assignments based in the Eagle River and greater Anchorage area. About the Role
As a Travel Physical Therapist with Aya Healthcare, you will deliver hands-on rehabilitative care to patients across Anchorage, AK. This is a 13-week contract assignment scheduled to begin on July 20, 2026, structured around a Day shift of five 8-hour days each week. The position is on-site only and does not offer remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient mobility, strength, and functional limitations to build individualized treatment plans.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and rehabilitative interventions to support recovery.
- Track patient progress, adjust care strategies, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Educate patients and families on exercises, recovery expectations, and injury prevention.
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and the broader care team to ensure cohesive treatment.
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license valid for practice in Alaska.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
- Clinical experience appropriate to a travel PT contract assignment.
- Willingness to relocate to or commute within the Anchorage, AK and Eagle River area for the duration of the contract.
- Strong communication skills and the adaptability to thrive in a new clinical setting.
