Director of Finance

Join our hotel team in Deerfield Beach as Director of Finance, where you'll lead financial strategy and operations for a Marriott Hotels property. About the Role

As Director of Finance, you'll own the complete financial operations of our hotel, managing budgets, cash flow, P&L analysis, and strategic financial planning. You'll work closely with department heads to control costs, improve margins, and support revenue optimization across all hotel departments—from rooms and food service to banquets and ancillary revenue streams. Your analytical insights will inform business decisions and help leadership maximize profitability while maintaining operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly P&L statements with variance analysis
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger functions
• Lead and supervise the accounting team, setting performance standards and fostering professional development
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure projects
• Implement and optimize financial systems, accounting software, and reporting processes
• Prepare financial reports and KPI dashboards for management and ownership review
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and hotel policies
• Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent experience valued)
• 5+ years of financial management experience, preferably in hospitality or hotel operations
• Proven expertise with accounting software, general ledger systems, and Excel
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
• Knowledge of hotel accounting practices, P&L structures, and revenue management concepts
