Jewish Federation Of Greater Long Beach And West Orange Coun seeks an experienced Senior Director of Philanthropy to lead our fundraising and donor relations efforts in Rossmoor, Orange County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to advance philanthropic impact across a respected Jewish community organization serving thousands annually.

About the Role

As Senior Director of Philanthropy, you will develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies that sustain and grow support for our community programs and services. You'll build meaningful donor relationships, cultivate major gift opportunities, and oversee initiatives that align with our mission of improving lives, fostering inclusion, and strengthening our vibrant Jewish community across three interconnected pillars: the Alpert JCC, Jewish Community Foundation, and Jewish Federation.

What You'll Do

• Direct long-term philanthropic strategy and annual fundraising plans to support organizational growth and community impact
• Cultivate and steward major donor relationships, identifying and qualifying prospects for significant contributions
• Lead grant development and management, including research, writing, and cultivation of institutional funding sources
• Collaborate with leadership across the organization to articulate funding priorities and communicate impact to donors
• Build and mentor a development team focused on donor engagement and revenue growth
• Establish community partnerships and corporate relationships to expand philanthropic networks
• Monitor fundraising metrics, evaluate program effectiveness, and adjust strategies based on performance data

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record leading philanthropic and fundraising initiatives at a senior level
• Deep expertise in major gifts, grant management, and donor relationship development
• Strong strategic planning and program development skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across diverse stakeholder groups
• Demonstrated commitment to the Jewish community or nonprofit sector
• Leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Proficiency with donor database systems and fundraising metrics
