About the Role

As a Graduate Nurse with Independence Health System Careers in Clarion, you will deliver complete nursing care to an assigned group of patients while working under the direct guidance of a Registered Nurse. This position is intended for recent graduates of a nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing who have not yet sat for the licensure examination. You will report to the Nurse Manager and remain directly accountable to the patients in your care. New Graduate Nurses join a twelve-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support a smooth transition from student to practicing clinician.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide thorough, patient-centered nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Carry out clinical duties in line with established standards of practice and facility protocols.
• Communicate patient status, concerns, and changes to the supervising Registered Nurse and Nurse Manager.
• Participate fully in the twelve-month Nurse Residency Program, applying learning to daily patient care.
• Maintain accountability to patients while building clinical judgment and bedside competence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing.
• Has not yet completed the examination for licensure (graduate nurse status).
• Willingness to enroll in and complete the twelve-month Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to work effectively under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Commitment to safe, compassionate, patient-focused care at the Clarion Hospital site.
