Director of Finance | Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown

Crescent Careers is seeking a Director of Finance to lead financial strategy and operations for our hospitality organization based in downtown Nashville, Davidson County. This full-time role offers the opportunity to drive financial excellence and shape operational strategy while working in the vibrant heart of Music City.

About the Role

As Director of Finance, you'll own comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and reporting that directly influences strategic decision-making. This position combines hands-on financial leadership with the opportunity to mentor and develop a growing accounting team while ensuring operational excellence across our Nashville-based operations.

What You'll Do

• Develop and oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans that align with organizational objectives
• Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and deliver actionable insights to support executive and board-level decisions
• Ensure full compliance with GAAP standards, tax regulations, and internal financial controls
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members to foster accuracy and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with department heads to monitor performance against budget and identify cost optimization opportunities
• Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and financial reporting to key stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
• Strong expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP compliance
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills; ERP or hospitality experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex financial information to diverse audiences
• Proven track record building, leading, and developing high-performing teams
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
