About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential automotive organization in Munich seeking a Technical Editor for Spare Parts Documentation (m/w/d) to join their team. This full-time role focuses on creating, updating, and managing comprehensive spare parts documentation and technical illustrations.
Responsibilities
- Create and update spare parts documentation along with associated datasets
- Evaluate technical documents, drawings, and parts lists, preparing them for documentation purposes
- Develop technical illustrations and review documentation for completeness and quality
- Process change requests and ensure technical documents remain current
- Coordinate documentation projects and collaborate closely with customers, service providers, and internal departments
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Technical Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or training as an automotive mechatronics technician, automotive technician, or master in vehicle technology with relevant additional qualifications
- Prior experience as a technical editor, technical documentation specialist, technical product designer, or documentation manager is ideal
- Excellent technical understanding and proven experience in technical documentation
- Knowledge of editorial and illustration tools; familiarity with 3D data is advantageous
- Structured working style with strong quality awareness
- Excellent written and spoken German; good English language skills
