Senior Associate Operations (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential management consulting firm seeking a Senior Associate to join their Operations practice in München. This is a permanent position working primarily at client sites throughout the week, with team collaboration in the office on Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Lead project modules independently in Operational Excellence engagements, particularly within manufacturing sectors such as mechanical engineering, plant engineering, and automotive
• Conduct comprehensive analyses of value chains and business processes to uncover efficiency opportunities
• Design and develop improvement concepts leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and similar methodologies
• Support the cultivation of long-term client partnerships and develop deep insights into operational challenges
• Collaborate closely with project managers and both internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives in adjacent areas including Strategy, Supply Chain Management, and Procurement
• Help position the firm as a leading voice in operations consulting for key manufacturing industries

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree from a reputable university
• At least 3 years of professional experience in management consulting or in operations roles within industrial companies
• Demonstrated experience independently managing project modules in Operations across various industries
• Strong understanding of operations processes and familiarity with Lean methodologies, production optimization, and digitalization
• Industry knowledge in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering, or Defence & Aviation is highly valued
• Fluency in German and English required; additional languages are a plus
• Analytical and structured thinking combined with strong interpersonal skills and situational awareness
