Staff Software Developer (IAM)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential software development platform organization seeking a Staff Software Developer to join their identity and access management team in London. In this role, you will:

• Own the complete software development lifecycle, including codebase architecture and operational excellence
• Maintain and evolve authentication and authorization services built primarily in Kotlin with some Go components
• Design and implement features across identity, organization, membership, group, and workspace management domains
• Review and integrate pull requests from platform engineering teams
• Manage integrations with other platform components and connected applications
• Ensure reliability and performance as the platform scales across a multi-tenant SaaS environment

What We're Looking For

Our client requires candidates with strong technical credentials in JVM-based development and production operations:

• 7+ years of JVM development experience, preferably with Kotlin
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues on JVM and PostgreSQL
• Proven experience building and operating SaaS production services in distributed, multi-tenant environments
• Fluency with modern DevOps tooling including Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana
• Track record of successfully taking ownership of existing production services and driving improvements

Valuable additional experience includes:

• Knowledge of identity management protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, or SCIM 2.0
• Experience designing and evolving domain models for organizational or identity systems
• Cybersecurity background including risk assessment, vulnerability recognition, and secure development practices
• Hands-on development experience with Go
