Technical Solutions Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential software organization serving the legal sector in Germany. Our client is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to join their team in Karlsruhe. This is a client-facing technical role where you'll design and implement customized solutions for complex business processes rather than maintaining standard products or processing support tickets.

You'll work directly with clients from initial requirements gathering through successful implementation, combining technical development with consulting expertise. The position requires regular presence at the Karlsruhe office and occasional on-site client meetings throughout Germany.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom extensions, interfaces, workflows, and integrations using C#/.NET, VBA, and XML
• Maintain and enhance an Access-based business application and underlying MS SQL Server database structures
• Integrate digital case management solutions, electronic court mailbox systems, and electronic signature capabilities
• Develop pragmatic, sustainable solutions for complex business and technical requirements
• Provide consulting and technical support to clients on digitization and process optimization initiatives
• Coordinate technical requirements with clients and collaborate with specialized departments
• Prepare technical documentation and maintain proper version control using Git

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in software development or technical consulting within project-oriented environments
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET, MS Access, MS SQL Server, and VBA
• Experience with modern web technologies such as Angular, React, or Blazor is highly valued
• Proven ability to analyze business requirements and design, implement, and deploy custom software solutions, integrations, and migrations
• Experience working with electronic signatures; familiarity with electronic legal transactions or comparable regulated environments is a plus
• Strong understanding of business processes with a passion for technical consulting and client collaboration
• Structured, independent, solution-oriented work approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Fluency in both English and German is required
