Werkstudent NPL & Partnermanagement (m/w/d)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a working student (m/w/d) to support their NPL and Partner Management operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a student currently enrolled in business administration, economics, information systems, or a comparable program to gain hands-on experience in debt portfolio management, partner coordination, and process controls.

You will work closely with our client's operations team to ensure their NPL and partner processes run reliably, are data-driven, and meet compliance documentation standards. The role combines operational support with technical data work, offering exposure to payment processing, portfolio sales, and multi-stakeholder coordination.

Location: Remote with one fixed office day per week in Düsseldorf

Responsibilities

• Support monitoring of ongoing NPL and partner processes, including monthly internal control system checks, and document evidence in internal systems
• Process payments in internal collection software, perform reconciliations, and prepare payment reports
• Execute predefined SQL checks, make minor adjustments as needed, and create base populations including CSV exports, duplicate checks, intersection analyses, and plausibility reviews
• Assist with preparation and operational execution of portfolio sales to debt collection agencies, handle defined special cases, support process and file transfers, and document activities in the ticketing system
• Coordinate with partner banks, debt collection agencies, and internal IT teams; clarify queries and follow up on open items consistently
• Prepare debt collection agency statistics and support their presentation
• Maintain clear documentation and ensure process compliance across all activities

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in business administration, economics, information systems, or comparable field
• Initial practical experience working with data, reports, or operational processes through internships, working student positions, or vocational training; ideally some SQL knowledge
• Reliable, thorough, and structured working style with ability to handle tasks independently
• Affinity for numbers, tables, and lists with strong understanding of reconciliations and plausibility checks
• Very strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, and ability to quickly adapt to new systems
• Clear communication skills with ability to present information concisely to various stakeholders
• Very good German language skills and good English skills, both written and spoken
