Head of Business Operations / Senior Business Operations Manager – all genders welcome!

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential sporting goods client based in Munich that is experiencing rapid growth. They need a strategic operations leader who can align multiple teams around ambitious revenue goals and keep complex launches running smoothly. This is a Head of Business Operations or Senior Business Operations Manager role where you'll be the central coordination point for planning, timing, and execution across their direct-to-consumer business.

Responsibilities

• Break down monthly and quarterly D2C revenue targets into actionable weekly and daily plans with specific product and promotional campaign milestones
• Develop target proposals for executive leadership approval
• Maintain the master product and promotional calendar, accounting for all relevant processes and deadlines
• Ensure alignment and manage lead times across five cross-functional teams (E-commerce & UX, CRM, Performance Marketing, Brand & Marketing, Tech)
• Identify and resolve planning deviations early before they impact delivery
• Lead weekly trading review sessions
• Analyze performance issues and develop solutions collaboratively with team leads
• Support expansion of planning frameworks to additional sales channels including specialty retail and marketplace platforms
• Make independent decisions on promotional calendars, discount strategies, and team prioritization within established frameworks

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional experience in business operations, consulting, chief of staff, commercial operations, or program management in complex organizational environments
• Strong commercial numerical understanding and judgment—you interpret data rather than just report it
• Fluency in both spoken and written German and English (required)
• Exceptional organizational talent to coordinate multiple teams, identify dependencies early, and ensure alignment before gaps become problems
• Critical mindset to challenge the status quo and actively shape strategy rather than just execute plans
• Structured thinking with the ability to anticipate downstream impacts
• Strong communication and influencing skills to work effectively with experienced team leads as equals
• Background in performance marketing, content, or e-commerce technology is a plus but not required
• Interest in the sporting goods or consumer products industry is beneficial
