About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential client in the electric vehicle charging infrastructure sector. We are seeking a Senior Rollout Manager to take end-to-end responsibility for deploying high-power charging sites across the DACH region. This is a remote position based in Germany.

In this role, you will own the complete delivery lifecycle of a portfolio of charging infrastructure projects—from site preparation and permitting through construction, commissioning, and handover to operations. You will translate strategic rollout objectives into integrated delivery plans, coordinate multiple internal functions and external partners, and drive complex, cross-functional projects to reliable completion.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of high-power charging sites in the DACH region, with particular focus on the most complex, high-risk, or strategically important locations
  • Manage scope, schedule, dependencies, risk exposure, cost risk, quality, safety, compliance, and operational readiness across the full project lifecycle
  • Develop integrated site and portfolio delivery plans, define priorities, sequencing, milestones, and dependencies with clear governance from site development through commissioning to operational handover
  • Lead cross-functional delivery across planning and permitting, construction, grid connection, logistics, and other disciplines; drive timely decisions and resolve conflicts
  • Actively manage critical interfaces between site access, civil works, electrical engineering, grid connection, charging hardware installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Direct external engineering consultants, contractors, installation companies, and delivery partners; set clear expectations, monitor performance, and manage operational and commercial risks
  • Own portfolio risk, change, and action management; identify critical risks early, define countermeasures, and lead recovery plans for delayed, blocked, or significantly off-track sites
  • Make decisions within delegated authority and prepare clear decision papers for escalation when required, presenting viable options, impacts, and recommendations balancing schedule, cost, quality, technical feasibility, and stakeholder requirements
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with authorities, grid operators, landowners, local stakeholders, and delivery partners; represent the client professionally in complex discussions and pragmatically resolve permitting, grid connection, site access, construction, and other delivery obstacles
  • Deliver concise, decision-oriented reporting to senior stakeholders including progress, forecast dates, forecast confidence, material risks, cost and commercial exposure, partner performance, recovery actions, and decisions required to keep the portfolio on track
  • Establish and continuously improve rollout standards, governance routines, templates, and delivery guidance to increase predictability, quality, scalability, and delivery effectiveness

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience leading delivery of complex infrastructure, construction, energy, mobility, telecommunications, or comparable multi-site rollout programs, ideally in high-power charging infrastructure
  • Track record of owning delivery outcomes across the full implementation lifecycle—not just individual project tasks or work packages
  • Strong command of program and project controls including integrated planning, risk management, dependency management, change control, and senior-level reporting
  • Experience managing external partners and influencing internal stakeholders in a matrix organization; you are confident, constructively challenge existing approaches, make decisions, and escalate when needed
  • Solid practical understanding of the interfaces between site development, permitting planning, civil engineering, electrical engineering, grid connection, commissioning, and handover to operations
  • Clear and structured communication in German and English
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to collaborate regularly with teams at project sites
  • Experience deploying electric vehicle charging infrastructure, renewable energy installations, or other decentralized, customer-facing infrastructure (preferred)
  • Established working relationships with authorities, grid operators, landowners, and construction partners in one or more DACH markets (preferred)
  • Experience with high-voltage or electrical infrastructure interfaces and commissioning/handover into an operational network (preferred)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills or comparable project control tools (preferred)
  • Relevant university degree, technical qualification, or comparable professional experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, or a related field
