Technical Program Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential payments technology company in their search for a Technical Program Manager to join their pre-sales and customer solutions team. This is a customer-facing role where you'll partner with sales, product, and engineering teams to design technical solutions that address complex payment integration challenges for mid-market and enterprise clients.

In this role, you'll lead technical discovery sessions, deliver compelling demonstrations, and translate business requirements into scalable implementation plans. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor during the sales cycle, helping prospects understand how modern payment orchestration can solve their integration, routing, and compliance needs.

This US-based position requires regular domestic travel and alignment with US business hours to support customers and internal stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with prospects to identify needs and map use cases to platform capabilities
• Deliver demonstrations, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation that support sales conversations and evaluations
• Translate business and technical requirements into actionable solution proposals and implementation plans
• Develop and maintain reusable demo environments, solution artifacts, and objection handling resources
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide prospect feedback and validate solution feasibility
• Partner with customer success and support teams to ensure smooth implementation handoffs
• Serve as a technical expert in RFPs, security reviews, and compliance questionnaires
• Educate internal teams on platform capabilities, integration patterns, and sales enablement materials

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Technical Account Management within B2B SaaS or fintech
• Industry experience with eCommerce, payment service providers, payment orchestration, or payment platforms
• Background in payments, card-not-present commerce, fraud prevention, or gateway technologies strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of APIs, SDKs, and system integration principles, especially REST and webhooks
• Familiarity with scripting or backend programming (Python, Ruby, or JavaScript a plus)
• Proven experience collaborating with sales and product teams on enterprise deals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including customer-facing documentation
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and guide customer decision-making
• Comfort owning discovery and demo stages in enterprise sales motions
• Experience with implementation or support functions is valued
