Staff Information Security Manager (w/m/d)

About This Role

We are representing a leading European cloud infrastructure and hosting services provider in their search for a Staff Information Security Manager to join their Berlin team. Our client operates across 18 international markets and serves millions of customers with enterprise-grade cloud solutions. This is an opportunity to shape security certification strategy within a rapidly scaling technology organization.

As Staff Information Security Manager, you will own the security certification roadmap and drive standardization initiatives that enable expansion into new markets. You will embed certification readiness into development, operations, and business units while serving as the bridge between technical teams and customer-facing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the security certification strategy aligned with international expansion goals
• Structure standardization and certification activities to scale across multiple markets
• Implement certification readiness routines within development, operations, and cross-functional teams working in regulated domains
• Lead strategic projects and maintain interfaces with customers and business stakeholders
• Participate in and support certification audits and attestations conducted by certification teams
• Drive tool-supported, efficient integration of management systems into daily organizational workflows

What We're Looking For

• Several years of hands-on experience with standardized management systems and cybersecurity certifications/attestations
• Practical experience from two or more certified domains: ISO 27001, IT-Grundschutz, BSI C5, or PCI DSS
• Additional experience with ISO management systems for data protection standards is a strong plus
• Multi-year track record working with these standards in a technical product organization
• Passion for modern, tool-enabled, efficient integration of management systems and certification activities into daily operations
• Strong motivation to continuously update your expertise in evolving security frameworks
• Comfortable with technology and documentation, with a focus on efficiency and structure
• Confident, communicative approach to achieving goal-oriented results with international and internal stakeholders
• Fluent English (CEFR C1 or higher) and native-level German (minimum C2)
• Location: Berlin with hybrid work options
