Account Manager (m/w/d) für WLAN & IT-Infrastruktur

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-established IT infrastructure firm based in Mannheim that provides long-term technical solutions to business clients. Our talent team is currently seeking an Account Manager to take ownership of existing client relationships in the WLAN and IT infrastructure space.

This is not a cold-calling sales role. You'll be the consistent point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients, managing their ongoing needs, contracts, and technical requirements over multi-year partnerships. The position is available in both full-time and part-time formats.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for a dedicated client portfolio, conducting regular check-ins and ensuring client satisfaction
• Identify growth opportunities, hardware refresh cycles, and additional service needs through proactive account monitoring
• Technically pre-qualify client requirements for WLAN coverage assessments, network expansions, and infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop and present proposals that address client needs clearly and comprehensively
• Manage contract lifecycles including renewals, hardware replacement schedules, and service agreements
• Act as the communication bridge between clients and technical staff, coordinating escalations and ensuring commitments are fulfilled
• Maintain accurate CRM records, plan annual review meetings, and develop long-term account strategies

What We're Looking For

• Experience in B2B client management—whether in inside sales, account management, customer service, or IT service coordination roles
• Solid IT foundation: you don't need to configure networks, but you should understand WLAN, networking, servers, and cloud concepts at a planning level
• Preference for building long-term relationships over chasing quick wins; you listen actively, follow through consistently, and maintain strong communication
• Ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences and capture client requirements in formats technical teams can action
• Structured, self-directed work style with strong documentation habits and proactive communication on open issues
• Fluent German language skills and a Class B driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
