Technical Product Manager – AI Stockbroking

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is building next-generation financial products across Southeast Asia. Our client is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own a complete product vertical within their AI-powered financial services platform. This role combines deep technical product ownership with the complexity of regulated financial infrastructure—payments, wealth management, and trading products that move real money and must meet strict regulatory standards.

This is a hybrid position based in the United Kingdom, requiring at least 3 days per week in the local office.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end, including strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery from conception through production launch
• Shape technical design alongside engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive critical trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements directly into product design, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing compliance
• Apply AI and LLM capabilities where they genuinely improve outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Ship products that depend on external factors including regulatory approvals, financial infrastructure, and third-party partnerships
• Align cross-functional teams—Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance—around clear product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers with the ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for working across global teams

Nice to have:

• Engineering background or highly technical product experience
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer financial products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
