Technical Product Manager – AI Investing

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization building next-generation financial products across Southeast Asia. Our client is expanding their technical product leadership team and seeks a Technical Product Manager to own an AI-powered investing vertical end-to-end. This role combines deep technical judgment with product strategy in a highly regulated, high-stakes domain where reliability and trust are non-negotiable.

This is a hybrid position based in the United Kingdom, requiring at least 3 days per week in the local office.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will own a complete product vertical from strategy through delivery and launch. You will shape technical architecture alongside engineering teams, making critical decisions around APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability. Your work will involve navigating complex trade-offs between correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory compliance, and user experience.

You will integrate regulatory requirements directly into product design, including KYC workflows, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy controls, and licensing considerations. A key part of your role is determining where AI genuinely improves outcomes versus where deterministic systems must maintain control, building appropriate evaluation frameworks, safeguards, and human oversight.

You will drive product delivery around external dependencies such as regulatory approvals, financial infrastructure, and third-party partnerships. Cross-functional alignment is critical—you will coordinate across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance to ensure clear product decisions and successful launches.

What We're Looking For

We need someone with 5+ years of product management experience, including end-to-end ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production. A strong technical foundation is essential: you should be fluent in system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems.

You must have experience working closely with engineers and the ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs. Background in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain is required.

Strong product judgment and the ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints are critical. Experience building with LLMs or AI products is essential, including evaluation methodologies, reliability considerations, and understanding when AI should not be deployed.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Engineering background or highly technical product experience
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products

Strong English communication skills are required, as English is the primary working language across global teams.
