Technical Product Lead – AI Finance

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization building next-generation financial products across Southeast Asia. Our client is seeking a Technical Product Lead to own an AI-powered product vertical end-to-end, from strategy through delivery and launch. This role requires deep technical acumen combined with product leadership in a regulated, high-consequence domain where reliability and correctness are non-negotiable.

This is a hybrid role based in the United Kingdom, requiring at least 3 days per week in the local office.

Responsibilities

You will own a complete product vertical, including:

• Defining strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities and delivery for your product area
• Shaping technical design with engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security and scalability
• Making trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements and user experience
• Integrating regulatory requirements into product design, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy and licensing
• Applying AI where it genuinely improves outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight and failure handling
• Shipping products that depend on external factors including regulatory approvals, financial rails and third-party partners
• Aligning cross-functional teams—Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury and Finance—around product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers, with ability to review, challenge and contribute to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Preferred qualifications:

• Engineering background or highly technical product experience
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
