This organization is building next-generation sovereign cloud infrastructure for enterprises and government institutions across Europe. They've secured significant public sector contracts and are scaling rapidly with backing from leading investors.

We're seeking a Technical Bid Manager to own the complete tender process for high-value, regulated-market opportunities. This is a strategic role where you'll translate complex technical requirements into winning proposals, working at the intersection of product, engineering, and commercial strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end tender lifecycle from qualification through submission, clarification rounds, and post-award handover
• Analyze tender documents and translate technical, commercial, contractual, and compliance requirements into structured response strategies
• Develop key proposal sections yourself, including executive summaries, solution descriptions, implementation approaches, and evaluation criteria responses
• Identify gaps between tender requirements and current product capabilities; collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on viable solutions
• Translate complex topics around cloud platforms, PaaS, Kubernetes, security, and digital sovereignty into precise, compelling tender responses
• Coordinate and quality-check contributions from Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and external partners to ensure proposal consistency
• Build reusable templates and evidence libraries; feed recurring market requirements back into product strategy

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing complex B2B, enterprise, or public-sector tenders, solution design, or technical proposals in software, cloud, or platform environments
• Strong technical background with ability to engage effectively with engineers, architects, and product teams in deeply technical discussions
• Solid understanding of cloud concepts: SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, managed services, IAM, and security frameworks
• Exceptional writing skills—able to create concise, precise, and persuasive content from complex and sometimes incomplete source material
• Highly organized under hard deadlines while maintaining clear view of overall solution and bid strategy
• Confident stakeholder management skills; comfortable challenging senior leaders and subject-matter experts when contributions are incomplete
• Fluent in both German and English
• Based near Karlsruhe or Munich with ability to work hybrid
