Teamleiter Finanzbuchhaltung (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential corporate group in the Laatzen area seeking a Team Leader for Financial Accounting. In this role, you will provide functional and organizational leadership for the financial accounting team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations across a complex multi-entity structure.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating the financial accounting team with functional responsibility
• Active operational participation in accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets accounting, and payment transactions
• Ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining high data quality standards
• Preparing and producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to German commercial law (HGB)
• Driving the development, structuring, and digitalization of existing accounting processes
• Supporting the implementation and optimization of standards across the financial accounting function
• Serving as point of contact for tax advisors, auditors, and internal departments
• Close collaboration with executive leadership, controlling, and finance management
• Contributing to financial analyses, reporting, and business decision support

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a qualified accounting professional ready to take the next step into leadership:

• Completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally with further qualification as certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or comparable credentials
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
• Initial leadership experience or demonstrated readiness to assume team management responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of German commercial code (HGB) and financial statement preparation
• Proficient use of DATEV accounting software and MS Office applications
• Structured, solution-oriented, and independently responsible working style
• Strong communication skills, team orientation, and genuine desire to take ownership
• German language proficiency required for this role
