About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global technology platform in their search for an SVP, Product. This is the most senior product role in the organization, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serving on the executive team. You will shape where products and platforms go next and drive execution to build them, working collaboratively across Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, and Customer teams.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Canada or Europe. Communication and application materials must be submitted in English.

Responsibilities

As SVP, Product, you will own the complete product vision and strategy for a multi-product technology platform. AI is not a line item on your roadmap—it is the roadmap. You should be the organization's foremost expert on what AI means for products and platforms, with real depth in fine-tuning and post-training, agent design and evaluation, and the economics of running models in production.

AI and Agentic Product Leadership

• Own the AI product strategy across marketplace experiences, internal systems, and customer-facing products, including the business outcomes they deliver
• Decide what gets built with AI and what does not, including build-versus-buy decisions on models and tooling, and the packaging and pricing of AI-enabled products
• Make AI quality measurable through evaluation frameworks, acceptance criteria, and review loops
• Transform how Product operates using AI, raising output and judgment of every product manager through AI-assisted discovery, research, prototyping, and analysis

Portfolio and Operating Model

• Own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the entire product portfolio: what gets built, what gets sunset, and how investment is distributed
• Establish the product operating model and metrics framework so decisions are made on evidence and user research
• Lead product integration of acquisitions and new products

Team and Accountability

• Define what a modern product team looks like and set the hiring bar for the entire product organization
• Own resourcing and workforce planning, hitting time-sensitive hiring commitments
• Review product work directly, develop people against a clear bar, and raise standards as the organization grows

This is a hands-on role. You will write your own specs, pull your own data, build rough versions of agents to test hypotheses before budgeting for them, and sit in product reviews with candid feedback. You will work hand in hand with Engineering on platform architecture and know growth marketing cold, because how a product reaches market is part of building it.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems); Master's strongly preferred
• At least 15 years of proven software Product Management experience
• At least 8 years leading Product organizations, including experience managing other product leaders
• Proven ability to elevate a product organization through hiring and development, with a quantifiable hiring track record
• Experience owning an entire product portfolio at a high-growth technology company, with accountability for business outcomes
• Demonstrated success setting product strategy at the executive level and translating it into executable roadmaps across multiple teams
• Experience leading AI-enabled products with measurable business outcomes
• Deep, hands-on command of modern AI: agentic architectures, orchestration design, retrieval, context engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation, and production economics—you have shipped these yourself
• Ahead of peers on AI adoption, able to teach it and move an organization to adopt capabilities they weren't asking for
• Growth marketing fluency with understanding of acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention
• Comfortable working with SQL or spreadsheets to analyze data and conducting user research
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using agile methodologies with globally distributed teams
• You must be a world-class individual contributor—this role is not about delegation alone

Strongly Preferred

• Experience with marketplace, platform, or two-sided business models
• Prior experience working as a Software Engineer

What Success Looks Like

In your first month, you will assess the current Product organization and AI maturity, and present an unsolicited product strategy to the executive team. Within three months, you will own the portfolio strategy and have at least one AI-enabled capability in production and measured. By six months, you will show business impact from AI-enabled products in at least two core areas with evidence, and have the right leadership team in place. Within your first year, you will run a product organization recognized as one of the most advanced in the industry, with AI embedded throughout the portfolio and operating model, not living in pilots.
