Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential healthtech organization seeking an interoperability consultant intern starting March 2027. You will join a technical team of 9 specialists working on system integration projects that facilitate data exchange across healthcare platforms. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the implementation of API connectors using HL7, JSON, and FHIR formats for hospitals, health centers, imaging facilities, and retail healthcare locations
- Creating and configuring AI assistants by developing complex prompts to automate technical processes
- Contributing to team automation initiatives using Python and AI technologies
- Updating technical processes and documentation to optimize team workflows
- Providing technical support to internal teams on interoperability questions
What We're Looking For
Our client seeks candidates with the following qualifications:
- Current student in engineering school or computer science program with interest in healthcare technology
- Strong Python programming skills with knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Good understanding of REST APIs and distributed system architectures
- Project management skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams
- Technical curiosity and autonomous learning capabilities
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Basic knowledge of HL7 and FHIR standards used in healthcare
- Previous experience with automation projects or system integration
- Familiarity with collaborative development tools (Git, CI/CD)
