We are representing a confidential data storage organization in their search for a Sr. Staff Technical Marketing Analyst. This fully remote position requires deep expertise in hard disk drive (HDD) technology and manufacturing, combined with strong analytical capabilities. You'll operate at the intersection of technology development, manufacturing operations, and business strategy, translating complex technical realities into insights that drive product roadmaps, competitive positioning, and investment decisions.

This role brings technical credibility to senior-level business analysis, particularly in areas of pricing, portfolio planning, and competitive strategy. Our client values analytical rigor grounded in first-principles understanding of HDD architecture, physics, and system-level behavior.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quantitative models based on HDD architecture, component behavior, and system-level interactions
• Build forecasts that incorporate technology constraints, engineering tolerances, and manufacturing flows from components through final assembly
• Create bottom-up cost models with component-level detail across mechanical, magnetic, electronic, and production elements
• Coordinate competitive cost teardown, modeling, and scenario analysis
• Provide insight into how technology choices affect factory throughput, scrap rates, bottlenecks, and long-term efficiency
• Partner with business pricing teams and portfolio owners to enhance business and competitive analysis
• Translate analytical outputs into actionable inputs for roadmaps, pricing strategy, and customer discussions
• Drive data-backed discussions with engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams
• Establish scalable analytical frameworks to support long-term decision making
• Present findings to senior stakeholders with clarity and technical credibility

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in technical modeling, systems analysis, or technology strategy roles
• Deep understanding of HDD architecture, physics, and manufacturing processes
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience building structured models
• Demonstrated knowledge of the HDD competitive marketplace and ability to translate this into cost and value competitiveness analysis
• Experience maintaining competitive cost analysis models and performing scenario analysis
• Ability to work effectively with ambiguous requirements and incomplete data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders
• Proven ability to collaborate and influence across technical and business organizations
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Operations Research, or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience:

• Direct experience in the storage industry, hardware platforms, or infrastructure systems
• Familiarity with storage system total cost of ownership analysis
• Background in large-scale technology deployments

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $147,000 - $215,000 base salary, depending on skills, experience, and work location. Our client also offers comprehensive benefits including discretionary bonus eligibility, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, flexible time off, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave.
