Account Development Specialist – Remote – Cherry Hill, NJ

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking an Account Development Specialist for a remote position based in Cherry Hill, NJ. This role bridges sales operations, referral management, and customer engagement within a growing practice environment.

The Account Development Specialist will support revenue growth through proactive outreach, referral lifecycle management, and collaboration with field leadership teams. You'll play a key role in connecting patients with appropriate care pathways while identifying opportunities to expand service adoption across existing and prospective accounts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with account management and regional leadership to execute prospecting campaigns and cold outreach to non-referral sources
• Identify growth opportunities for virtual and hybrid care models through digital engagement with referral partners
• Support patient reconnect programs and improve continuity of care pathways across service lines
• Manage the complete referral lifecycle from receipt through clinician assignment, including patient scheduling and clinical needs screening
• Collaborate with leadership to establish KPIs, monitor shared initiatives, and ensure data accuracy across regions and service types
• Improve admission-to-evaluation conversion rates through care coordination and virtual front desk support
• Assist in development of sales materials and training resources for field teams
• Communicate patient status updates and refusals to referral sources in a timely manner

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-3 years of business-to-business sales experience preferred
• Prior healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience with virtual care delivery models a plus
• Proficiency with online sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Salesforce preferred
• Previous outbound call center or sales position experience preferred
• Strong phone skills and demonstrated success with cold calling
• Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Strong business acumen and customer service orientation
• Self-motivated professional with outstanding energy and interpersonal communication abilities
